Job description: Customer Success Representative


Who we are

We are an IT company that builds recommendation systems for academic research. Similar to how e-commerce platforms suggest products you might like or how streaming services recommend shows based on your viewing history, we help researchers discover relevant academic papers.

Our mission is to make important research easier to find and faster to spread. With over three million peer-reviewed papers published each year, even groundbreaking discoveries can go unnoticed. By improving how information is shared, especially in fields like medicine and public health, we help reduce delays in turning knowledge into real-world solutions.

Whenever you see recommended academic articles powered by TrendMD under a scientific paper, that is our technology behind the scenes.

Who you are

We are seeking candidates based in Chengdu who are graduating in July 2026 for our Customer Success Representative role. You will thrive here if you value candor, conscientiousness, and first-principles thinking.

What you’ll do

As a Customer Success Representative, you will:

  • Own the onboarding process for new Chinese clients, ensuring a seamless and successful start to their journey with us

  • Serve as a strategic point of contact, delivering regular updates and insights that empower clients to command their campaigns

  • Monitor sales and usage metrics to surface patterns, risks, and opportunities, and translate them into insights for clients and the team

  • Support  partnership  growth  by  identifying  opportunities  to  deepen  client engagement and contribute to revenue retention and expansion

  • Help refine internal processes and documentation to ensure scalable, high-quality service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Marketing, or related field, or additional equivalent experience

  • Fluent in English and native proficiency in Mandarin

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Detail-oriented with organizational skills

  • Comfortable navigating unclear or evolving situations

  • Western education/work background is a plus
